PepsiCo Beverages Full-Time Electrician
Job Summary :
The Electrician / PLC Programmer is responsible for, Equipment and Plant electrical systems, programming, repairing, troubleshooting and maintaining programmable logic controller (PLC) systems used within the Pepsi bottling / processing facility. Inspects equipment for proper functioning and performs mechanical / electrical preventative maintenance duties per manufacturer's specifications. The successful candidate will also support day to day electrical and mechanical maintenance activities, including, preventative maintenance, repairs, changeovers and installations for other advanced production / manufacturing equipment. May mentor and provide support to less experienced technicians. Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment malfunctions and perform more complicated repairs or adjustments as needed.
Compensation :
- 44 / hour + Health and Dental Benefits and Pension
Shift Details :
Flexible with shift timings (Morning, Afternoon or Night)Monday - Friday, occassional weekends (44 hours / week)Must hold an electrical ticket with Red Seal. Responsibilities
Perform electrical and mechanical preventative maintenance on all Equipment and Plant electrical systems and PLC systemsPerform preventative maintenance on all PLC systemsProgram, troubleshoot and perform repairs on Equipment and Plant PLC systemsPerform software updates when requiredPerform program changes when required and backup copies of all programsPerform preventative maintenance or repairs on more advanced, high speed packaging equipment and production equipment as neededPerform breakdown analysisOversee or perform general housekeepingUpgrade production lines with new / upgraded equipment / technologyAssist with line / equipment package changeoversEnforce GMP, safety, and audit standardsWork independently under limited supervision (self-management)Documentation of work schedule, pm’s and work tasks completedComplete weekly mechanical / electrical pm’sAssist with mechanical repairsQualifications
Certified Electrical ticket with Red SealCertified PLC programmer preferredPass technical assessment addressing job-critical maintenance knowledge areasExperience with basic electrical systems (, starters, fuses, contacts, relays).Experience with electrical systems (installation, frequency drives, troubleshooting)Experience with electronics (, level probes, flow meters, drives / VFDs, etc.).Experience with PLC (, industrial maintenance, computer control systems, etc.).Experience with product manuals (, reading and applying knowledge to make repairs).Experience with schematics (, electrical blueprints with switches, starters, maps, relays).Experience with troubleshooting (, diagnostics, problem solving, etc.).Helpful Experience :
Experience with mechanical systems (, gear boxes, chains, sprockets, motors, seals, bearings).Experience with compressors / ammonia systems (, refrigeration systems).Experience with conveyors and airveyors (air cylinders, diverters, sensors, motor / speed controls).Experience with kinematics (, line speed / sprocket size ratios, etc.).
