About The Role
The Project, Communications, and Marketing Coordinator integrates strategic communications, cross‑sector collaboration, and project coordination to advance the Division’s goals. The coordinator manages internal and external communications, works with Corporate communication roles to ensure consistent organizational messaging and corporate image, and develops marketing materials for initiatives such as Lambton Works and the Be Part of the Solution campaign. The coordinator leads and / or supports special projects that enhance service delivery across human services systems and communicates the Division’s work to the public, stakeholders, and staff. The position uses highly developed communication skills, systems thinking, and collaboration to improve outcomes through coordinated, innovative services.
Job Duties And Responsibilities
Project Planning and Development
- Participate in the planning, development, implementation and evaluation of new and / or enhanced internal and external programs in compliance with applicable legislation as related to the individual departments, in keeping with approved budgets, departmental needs, and timelines
- Devise policies and procedures in accordance with applicable legislation as it relates to an individual department
- Work as a team lead in developing, reviewing, and promoting the goals, objectives, policies, and procedures of new programs and projects. May be required to interpret various regulations and policies and other relevant legislation supporting logical reasoning in project and policy development
- Develop presentation materials and facilitate various sessions to gather information for the project or to inform others of project information
- Collect and evaluate relevant statistics and data as a basis for project planning or reports and promote the utilization of results in planning and implementing projects / programs / policy
- Create parameters of project; Identify Terms of Reference; Identify potential sources of funding such as grants and develop funding proposals; Establish and adhere to strict timelines
- Responsible for progressing the project work through all project phases (initiating, planning, executing, monitoring and controlling and close‑out)
Written Communications
Draft and review news releases for the mediaDevelop and coordinate content for the Be Part of the Solution CampaignCreate and coordinate website, intranet, and social media contentDevelop and create communication strategiesDigital Communications And Social Media

Coordinate special events which involve establishing guest lists, creating and sending invitations, determining program and media relations for events such as open houses, summits, and community eventsLiaise with Ministry representatives for shared media announcements and events, such as ribbon cuttingsMedia Relations
Develop and maintain close working relationships with local media outletsDistribute news releases to the media, respond to media inquiries and provide background documentation to the mediaResponsible for coordination of media conferences and photo opportunitiesMonitor local media, including social media, and adapt communication strategies to meet Divisional goalsCoordinate with communications representatives of partner health and human service agencies to ensure continuity and aligned messagingInformation Dissemination

Oversight of operating budget related to the Division’s marketing and communicationsAuthorize expenditures in accordance with approved budget and county policyNegotiate, approve, and monitor items for approval related to marketing and communicationsGeneral

Credentials Required
Minimum Formal Education
University degree or College diploma in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing or Journalism or a combination of education and experience relevant to the positionExperience
