Human Resources Consultant

We are in the process of hiring an experienced Human Resources Consultant who will join our Clients team on a Hybrid basis in Abbotsford, British Columbia. The role entails handling various HR responsibilities in our organization, with a focus on employee relations, compliance, and hiring processes. This position presents a long-term part-time or casual employment opportunity and includes the flexibility of hybrid work arrangements.

Responsibilities :

• Ensure smooth employee relations by addressing their concerns and facilitating communication
• Oversee the hiring process, ensuring that it is efficient and effective
• Handle employee benefits and ensure they align with compliance regulations
• Manage situations where employees go on leave due to illness or other reasons, coordinating with WCB when necessary
• Provide guidance on HR policies and practices
• Assist in resolving workplace disputes, acting as a mediator when necessary
• Utilize your HR knowledge to provide consultation services to the team
• Work closely with management to handle sensitive situations, such as employees needing extended leave for health reasons
• Coordinate with teams across different locations, ensuring everyone is kept informed and aligned
• Utilize ADP software for various HR tasks.
• Proven experience as a Human Resources Manager for a minimum of 7 years
• Demonstrable knowledge of benefit functions and their implementation
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Strong understanding of compliance and regulatory requirements in HR
• Proven ability in managing employee relations
• Experience in handling hiring processes, including recruitment, interviewing, and onboarding
• Proficiency in managing Workers Compensation Board (WCB) related issues
