Reporting into the Associate Director, Digital Marketing, the Digital Marketing Lead will be responsible for leading and executing integrated digital strategies and campaigns that support key business objectives and promote and strengthen HOOPP’s brand and reputation.

This role will be working and collaborating with a variety of groups within the Corporate Operations & Strategy team to develop holistic digital strategies that drive brand awareness, support audience education and enhance the digital experiences of our members and other key stakeholders.

NOTE : This is a 12-month contract position.

What you will do :

Plan, drive, oversee and support execution of integrated digital marketing strategies and solutions involving HOOPP’s website (hoopp.

com), email campaigns and social media platforms with the goal of enhancing user experience and engagement while balancing business objectives with user needs.

  • Work independently, yet collaboratively with internal partners to drive awareness, education and engagement among HOOPP’s key audience groups, including members, HOOPP employers, and other stakeholders.
  • Provide user-centric, data-driven recommendations to optimize hoopp.com and email campaigns using industry best practices and where appropriate, A / B testing to gauge effectiveness of a controlled variable.
  • Work with internal partners and other members of the M&C team to develop effective email campaigns that engage audiences based on campaign objectives and previous data and insights while focusing on continuous improvement.
  • Ensure digital solutions align with overall brand and website guidelines and principles to ensure a consistent and seamless user experience across HOOPP’s digital channels.
  • Assist with copywriting and / or editing of digital copy to ensure copy and layout work together to meet objectives.
  • Develop and execute social media paid campaigns as part of communication campaigns, monitoring their progress, adjusting strategies as necessary and reporting on performance once complete.
  • Manage process and day-to-day functions within an agile framework on a cross-functional digital team to support and execute partner communication initiatives.
  • Assist in developing timelines to execute digital communication activities.
  • Help to plan and prioritize initiatives based on business needs and end-user value.
  • Act as a key contact for partners in IT, to drive forward digital improvements and solutions.
  • Work closely with the Digital Marketing team to delegate, prioritize, and execute work.
  • Work closely with the Analytics & Reporting Lead to review website and email performance data and recommend new opportunities and approaches for improvement.
  • Stay up to date with website and email trends, best practices and developments in the market.
  • Help lead SEO activities to increase engagement and awareness of content in support of brand and reputation objectives.
  • Identify issues that may impact the performance, SEO or user experience of hoopp.com and develop and execute solutions with key internal business partners.

Qualifications :

  • University degree and / or College diploma in a discipline such as Marketing, Communications or a related discipline.
  • A minimum of 5 years’ corporate experience with a focus in digital marketing / communications.
  • A keen learner and strategic thinker, able to navigate the learning curve efficiently and effectively.
  • Proven ability and experience executing successful, cross-channel digital marketing strategies using data and proven industry best practices and methodologies.
  • Proven ability to perform effectively in a cross-functional, team-oriented, agile environment, with an openness to continuous improvement and new challenges.
  • Flexible and collaborative attitude, open to working on all aspects of projects, including strategy development, planning and deployment.
  • Ability to make sense of multiple quantitative and qualitative data sets to derive insights for the purposes of improving user experiences and marketing outcomes.
  • Excellent analytical and project management skills, with an ability to oversee and execute multiple projects at once with differing timelines.
  • Strong ability to influence and sell ideas and recommendations.

Technical skills :

  • Strong working knowledge and experience with updating and maintaining web content on CMS platforms (i.e. Wordpress, Sitefinity).
  • Strong working knowledge and experience using online marketing optimization tools (Google Optimize, Moz, SEMRush) and web analytics platforms (i.

e. Google Analytics, Siteimprove).

  • Proven experience with email marketing, campaign development, A / B testing best practices, and tools (i.e. MailChimp, Dotdigital).
  • Understanding of AODA / WCAG requirements as they apply to web and email design.
  • Knowledge and experience in social media platforms and executing paid campaigns, particularly over Facebook, Instagram, X and LinkedIn is an asset.
  • Knowledge and experience using marketing automation tools (i.e. Hubspot, Marketo, Salesforce) to improve personalization and targeting abilities is an asset.
