Job Summary

The Facilities Operations Coordinator, Athletics, oversees the operation of all facilities

related to Athletics and Campus Recreation on campuses in Abbotsford and Chilliwack.

The Coordinator is responsible for the effective management and maintenance of

athletic and recreation facilities, ensuring spaces are safe, functional, and well-utilized.

This includes overseeing facility maintenance and repairs, managing internal and

external space bookings and rentals, and ensuring compliance with facility policies and

standards

The Facilities Operations Coordinator, Athletics and Campus Recreation, performs a

variety of customer service and support functions and supervises student-staff

positions.

Qualifications

• Certificate in sport, recreation, or fitness administration from a recognized institution.
• Minimum two (2) years of relevant experience, preferably in a post-secondary athletics / recreation / fitness environment.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, and interpersonal skills.
• Highly organized with the ability to develop and manage complex schedules.
• Competency with Microsoft Office applications and web-based communications, preferably XplorRecreation (PerfectMind).
• Strong technical aptitude with the ability to learn new technology.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Ability to work evenings and weekends
• Physical ability to lift up to 40 pounds, to lift and push athletics facilities equipment.
