Habitat for Humanity Greater Toronto Area (GTA) is seeking a values-based, senior finance leader to become its next Chief Financial and Administrative Officer (CFAO). As the largest Habitat affiliate of 48 in Canada, Habitat for Humanity GTA serves the City of Toronto, Region of Durham, Region of York, City of Brampton, and Town of Caledon. This is a rare opportunity for an innovative, purpose-driven CFAO to lead finance, information technology, office services, infrastructure and human resources at one of the most prominent and vital housing affordability organizations in the region and country.
Reporting to the CEO, the Chief Financial and Administrative Officer is a key member of the executive team and and a trusted advisor to the CEO on organizational strategy, decision-making, and organizational leadership. The CFAO is accountable for building, leading, coaching, developing and empowering a high- performing and dedicated team, and in doing so, fostering an inclusive and thriving work environment.
As the ideal candidate, you are an accomplished, and well-rounded CPA-qualified finance and administrative leader who is energized by Habitat for Humanity’s mission. Your leadership experience spans core financial functions (profit and loss management, audit, accounts receivable, accounts payable, cash flow forecasting, and enterprise risk management), complex financial modelling, and administration (information technology, office services, infrastructure, and human resources). A background in multi-year capital projects is a must. While not mandatory, exposure to real estate development financing would be desirable. You have a track record of optimizing operations and financial performance reporting through technology. You are adept at leading change in a complex and dynamic environment and you take pride in working alongside energetic, mission-driven colleagues.
