Ulisse Construction is currently seeking to fill up a position for an ESTIMATOR IN CONSTRUCTION . We are looking for an energetic individual that will always offer first quality and meet the high standards of excellence to the development of our projects.

KEY COMPETENCIES

  • Must have complete understanding of construction procedures and project management principles and systems.
  • Must have excellent management, negotiating and leadership skills as well as excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Must have good verbal and written communication skills.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Work with the project manager to review project and project details.
  • Review all tender documentation, plans, requirements etc. to prepare a comprehensive bid.
  • Discuss project strategy with project manager, including the plans, scopes of work, labor strategies with a planned schedule etc.
  • Perform quality take offs and schedule of values. Create and issue scopes of work for each phase of construction.
  • Call for tenders from local companies, follow up and validate all pricing.
  • Prepare final tender using company documentation, process and templates. Make informed decisions based on previous projects, cost models and current market trends.
  • Perform site visits as required (some travel may be required).
  • Conduct daily communication with site teams including superintendents, field project managers and other stakeholders.
  • Work closely with clients, architects, subcontractors, and external parties to develop and maintain relationships that are aligned with the beliefs and values of the organization.
  • Formulate and complete targeted Requests for Proposals (RFPs), negotiating and administering contractual agreements as well as ensuring regulatory compliance.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Education : A university degree or technical diploma in the areas of management, engineering, architecture, building sciences or construction technology.
  • Experience : 4+ years of estimation experience in construction.
  • Experience with high-end architectural and millwork packages.
  • Software experience requirements AutoCAD 2D & 3D, Sketchup 3D, Revit, Photoshop,, Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) etc.
