Logistics Coordinator

We are seeking an experienced individual to join our client's team as a Logistics Coordinator.Shift : 8 : 30am-5 : 00pm Monday-FridaySalary : $57,000-62,000 / year based on experienceLocation : Mississauga, ONResponsibilities- Research / find best carriers for freight services- Negotiate rates, spot rates, contract, and pricing agreements with carriers- Maintain database and working relationships with existing and potential carriers- Monitor market requirements for carriers and capacity (supply vs demand) with carriers- Plan / coordinate pick-up and delivery schedules and coordinate / schedule / dispatch drivers- Maintain positive relationships with customers by responding to concerns / queries, reporting their shipment status, and resolving discrepancies in a timely manner- Ensure freight paperwork is completed / approved before transportation- Monitoring driver routes to ensure timely delivery of freight- Determining resolving routing problems - Recording mileage, fuel use repairs - Communicating with drivers during their trips to ensure smooth delivery of freight in a timely manner- Ensuring that drivers have all necessary paperwork in order - Other duties as requiredQualifications- Previous work experience in a Logistics Coordinator or similar role within the Transportation / Logistics industry- Experience with TruckMate software- Excellent customer service skills- Strong knowledge of the GTA- Strong computer skills - Superior communication skills (both written and verbal)- Excellent organizational skills- High attention to detail- Team-player attitude - Strong negotiation skills- Able to work independently- Able to work full-time Monday-FridayApply today!By applying to this position you agree to allow Breakaway Staffing to contact you via email, text, or phone call communication regarding this job application.#ADMAccommodations are available upon request for all individuals with disabilities taking part in the recruitment and selection process.
