SLB is seeking a dedicated, quick learning post-graduate student or recent advanced-degree graduate to join our Calgary team as a Reservoir Simulation Intern . This office-based role provides an excellent opportunity to gain hands on experience while applying your academic knowledge to real subsurface challenges. We are looking for someone dynamic, technically strong, and customer focused; someone who can combine solid reservoir engineering fundamentals with the ability to support clients effectively. You will work with SLB's cutting edge reservoir simulation technologies, collaborate with multidisciplinary experts, and contribute to meaningful projects from your very first day.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Support the reservoir engineering team by assisting with simulation workflows using SLB's reservoir simulators.
  • Contribute to a defined internship project by running analyses, preparing results, and presenting findings to the team.
  • Handle customer support tickets with a professional, service-oriented approach, coordinating with senior team members as needed.
  • Assist with basic data preparation, quality checks, and documentation to support ongoing technical service activities.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary experts and learn how reservoir engineering integrates with geology.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Master's or PhD student in Petroleum Engineering in the final year of studies, or a recent Master's or PhD graduate (completed within the past year).
  • Experience with Petrel RE, Intersect or other reservoir simulators is considered an asset.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively while adapting quickly in a fast-paced, client-focused environment.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Must be legally authorized to work and reside in Canada without company sponsorship.
