The BIM Manager applies the company's vision for BIM to its projects.
The incumbent will help to define BIM processes and standards in a transdisciplinary context and supervise the use of relevant tools. Responsible for launching projects, they will draw up BIM management plans with the help of project managers and the regional BIM manager, advise project managers on the use of BIM, and assist the team of BIM coordinators for projects in various markets.
What you will accomplish with us
Participation in projects
- Plan and start projects;
- Write the project's BIM management plan (BMP);
- Attend or co-facilitate inter- and intra-disciplinary BIM start-up meetings;
- Set up models;
- Georeference Revit project models;
- Implement the work processes and tools required for a project to run smoothly, in line with the vision and strategy defined by the BIM Director;
- Set up and manage the ACC (Autodesk Construction Cloud) and / or other collaborative platforms;
- Provide support to the BIM coordinator responsible for projects;
- Act as BIM coordinator when required.
Participation with the company
Participate in the development of the firm's objectives and strategies, in conjunction with the BIM management team;Participate in the development of standards and work processes;Train BIM coordinators and oversee the development of their skills, while acting as a resource.Qualifications
What you need
College diploma in architectural technology, university degree in architecture, or any other combination of relevant training and experience;At least 7 years' experience in architectural projects;At least 5 years' experience in BIM management on large-scale projects with complex breakdown and scheduling requirements;Excellent knowledge of BIM processes and tools, and their impacts;BIM certification (an asset);Fluency in written and spoken French and English;Knowledge of applicable software (Revit, Autodesk, Office suite) and other BIM software;Knowledge of the Autodesk Construction Cloud platform.Additional Information
