Using collaborative nursing practices, as the LPN you will deliver consistent clinical practice to meet the needs of the Resident (Elder, Patient, Participant or Client) and family in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team. You will play a key role in providing leadership to the Health Care Aide team through building relationships and trust, creating an empowering work environment, supporting the integration of knowledge, and by leading and sustaining change. Utilizing nursing processes, critical thinking, problem solving and leadership skills you will provide clinical supervision of restricted activities or routine activities of daily living (ADL) performed by the Health Care Aides and care as required. You will perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Education & Certification :
Graduate of a Practical Nurse program leading to a license by the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Alberta (CLPNA)
Must be actively registered with the CLPNA
Experience :
Computer experience is required to access, enter and update information on electronic information system
Minimum of 2 years’ nursing experience is strongly preferred
Personal Competencies :
Knowledge of nursing clinical best practice standards / protocols as required in area of nursing specialty related to the job assignment, basic nursing care practices, scope of practice as defined by CLPNA, and continued competence and practice standards
Demonstrates awareness of accident and injury prevention, adheres to safe work practices and procedures and is responsible for maintaining self-wellness
SALARY RANGE
27.85 - $36.13 per hour as per the AUPE AN Collective Agreement
