Recreation Camp Leader (Seasonal - Summer)

The Granite Club is seeking a Camp Leader for our summer camps to lead counselors and campers through activities, ensuring a safe and engaging environment for children in the Recreation camp program.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Check-in and check-out of campers daily, ensuring safety.
  • Assist children in preparing for activities.
  • Create a safe and fun environment for campers.
  • Ensure campers adhere to rules and guidelines.
  • Address questions or concerns from parents regarding the camps.
  • Play indoor and outdoor games with campers.
  • Encourage campers to participate in sports and recreation activities to the best of their abilities.
  • Arrive on time for shifts and be prepared for the day's activities.

    • Required Qualifications

  • Previous camp counselor experience is an asset.
  • Responsible and patient individual who enjoys working with children.
  • Physically active and enjoys playing sports such as basketball and soccer.
  • Experience working with children is an asset.
  • Previous camp counselor experience is an asset.
  • Ability to foster children’s love for sports.
  • Current First Aid and CPR certifications.
  • Safety training (WHMIS).
