Job descriptionProvide support in troubleshooting / repairs and system improvements (optimization) to ensure quality and efficiency Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams and schematic drawings to determine work procedures; identify replacement parts Assist on-site contractors as required Perform preventative maintenance (PMs) on all equipment as required Document and maintain details of inspections Participate in ongoing cross-training, multi-skilling activities within the organization Demonstrate a sense of urgency in achieving results Ensure that all operator safety devices function properly on completion of repairs, modifications and installations Know and understand process documentation and customer specific requirements, as they relate to this job function HOURS : 2 : 30pm to 11 : 00pm / Monday to Friday Install, align, dismantle and move industrial machinery and mechanical equipment, such as pumps, fans, tanks, conveyors, furnaces, and generators according to layout plans using hand and power tools Operate hoisting and lifting devices such as forklifts, jacks and handling equipment to position machinery and parts during the installation, set-up, repair of machinery Operate machine tools such as grinders to fabricate parts required during overhaul, maintenance or set-up of machinery Rebuild and / or overhaul machinery and equipment as required Confined space entry and working from heights as required
Maintenance & Repair
- Industrial Millwright (433A) certification - Inter Provincial / Red Seal OR Ontario
- Certificate of Millwright Apprenticeship an asset
- 5 yrs+ in an automated industrial production environment performing mechanical maintenance of plant equipment
- 2 yrs minimum experience in maintenance in a food processing environment
- Competent using SMAW (MIG) and GTAW (TIG) welding processes
- Good knowledge of oral and written English and Mathematics
- Working knowledge of OHSA standards and regulations
- Any PLC troubleshooting or program editing experience an asset
- Good attention to detail, organizational and interpersonal skills
- Good troubleshooting and problem solving skills
- Able to work to deadlines and multi-task
