• Signing Bonus Offered!Overnight nurses are based in our Kitchener office, supporting administrative tasks and responding to palliative client visits as needed. This Part-Time Night Shift Palliative RN position is overnight, from 10 : 00 p.m. to 8 : 00 a.m., serving the Waterloo Region.

• What you’ll do :
• Using appropriate assessment tools / techniques to assess patients’ individualized needs
• Executing and continuously monitoring care plans
• Engaging patients using a collaborative approach by building rapport and trust
• Maintaining and updating patient health records related to encounters, interventions and plans
• Ensure care is provided with established nursing standards and principles, physicians’ orders and administrative policies, as well as, observe, report and record vital signs, symptoms and conditions of residents / patients
• Ability to collect and use information to thoroughly think through problems and situations; puts information from various sources together to see the ‘big picture’ and generate creative solutions
• Ability to work alone and with others while prioritizing tasks to handle the most urgent first
• What you bring :
• Registration with the CNO as a Registered Nurse in good standing
• Valid driver’s license and access to a registered vehicle is required
• Palliative care experience is an asset
• Post-graduate education in Palliative care is mandatory
• Experience in delivering community care is an asset
• Reliability and flexibility
• Willingness to travel to and from patient residences within a designated area
• Passion for making a difference in your community
