What Will Your Next Role Look Like?

As a Lead Java Developer at Peliplat, you will lead a talented team of developers, testers, and mobile developers, overseeing the full development lifecycle to deliver robust, scalable solutions. You’ll guide the team in designing and enhancing our backend architecture, ensuring high performance and reliability for our global user base. Working closely with cross-functional teams, including a significant team in China, you will make critical architectural decisions, implement best practices, and be an essential driver in the technical evolution of Peliplat.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor, and manage a multidisciplinary development team, including developers, testers, and mobile developers, ensuring cohesive collaboration and project success.
  • Conduct business requirement analysis, contribute to database and system design, and oversee the creation of technical documentation.
  • Design and implement core architecture for key business and technology transformation initiatives, focusing on high availability and scalability.
  • Code and review core functional modules, troubleshoot technical issues, and provide effective solutions throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Facilitate cross-team communication, bridging the time zone gap with our China-based team and ensuring seamless alignment.
  • Collaborate proactively with Product, Development, and Operations teams to drive projects to successful completion.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science or related field.
  • 5+ years of Java project development and architecture design, with demonstrated experience in team leadership or management.
  • Strong foundation in system architecture, technical planning, and solution-oriented decision-making.
  • Proven experience in developing complex, distributed systems, emphasizing high availability, performance, scalability, and resilience.
  • Proficiency in Java, Spring Cloud, Spring Boot, MyBatis, MySQL, and NoSQL databases, with deep knowledge of service-oriented architecture.
  • Fluent in Mandarin and English to support effective communication and collaboration across the China-based team.
  • Flexibility to adapt to time zone differences, ensuring active participation and leadership in meetings as needed.
