Journeypersons are either experienced at leading a project area or are interested in developing their leadership skills.
The following abilities are a must :
2-5 years of surveying or total station layout experience pertinent to new construction.Certification in surveying – piping – fitting or structural trades is an advantage.An understanding of drawings and specifications for Mechanical, Architectural, Structural with the ability to coordinate with other disciplines.Ability to manage, mentor and supervise 1st / 2nd / 3rd / 4th year apprentices if required.Communicate with colleagues, trades, and sub-trades in a professional manor if / when required.Flexibility to travel within the lower mainland.Assist with internal or parkade layout if or when required.Manage on site logistics, materials and pre-fab for layout and deck work.Follow written and verbal instructions as required.Contribute to site / company culture by completing job duties with a positive attitude.
