THE ROLE
As a Fitness and Sports Instructor, you will lead Fitness, Sports, and Aquatics programs for a highly motivated and professional clientele. You will develop, deliver, and assess tactical programs to help members safely and effectively perform their duties in operations. The role emphasizes cutting‑edge scientific research and state‑of‑the‑art technology.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Prepare and conduct physical fitness training sessions.
- Instruct health and physical fitness training modules.
- Apply policies, procedures, and regulations.
- Evaluate physical fitness and aquatics performance.
- Officiate at least three sports (soccer, volleyball, basketball, racquet sports, hockey).
- Coach sports programs.
QUALIFICATIONS NEEDED
College diploma or certificate in Physical Education, Exercise Physiology, Exercise Sciences, or related field.Current CPR and Standard First Aid certification.Current National Lifeguard Service (NLS) Certificate, as required.LANGUAGE REQUIREMENTS

This is an on‑site position with an assigned work location.Perform moderate lifting, carrying, pulling and / or pushing (10–50 lbs).Successful completion of the Personnel Support Programs (PSP) Fitness & Sports Level 1 & 2 Courses by the end of probation.Physical fitness test (FORCE Evaluation) with a minimum level of Bronze required.Temporary position : start date February 2, 2026 and end date September 4, 2026.This Category I unionized position is open to all interested parties; preference will be granted in accordance with the Collective Agreement for the PSAC bargaining unit for NPF Category I employees at CFB Kingston.START DATE
