Job description

Our client, a well-established civil construction company specializing in earthworks, underground utilities, and roadworks, is seeking a Project Manager to join their team for a project in Terrace, BC. The ideal candidate will have experience managing self-perform civil construction projects, particularly in remote or regional settings across British Columbia.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Prepare and manage project schedules, budgets, and procurement for civil construction projects, starting with a $5M utilities job in Terrace.
  • Coordinate with field crews, subcontractors, and consultants to ensure safe and efficient execution.
  • Monitor progress, address delays or issues, and maintain compliance with company standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Manage project documentation, forecasting, reporting, and change orders.
  • Lead weekly project meetings and maintain strong communication with all stakeholders.

Ideal Candidate Requirements :

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Project Manager in civil construction.
  • Strong knowledge of underground utilities, roadworks, and self-perform operations.
  • Proficient with construction documentation, budgeting, and scheduling.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • A diploma or degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field is preferred.
