We are looking for an Group Benefits and Life, Account Executive (Account Executive II) to join BrokerLink and work out of our Atlantic region on a Permanent (FT) basis.

What the Role Entails :

  • Play a key role in growing our Group Benefits and Individual Life business by developing a prospect list through direct solicitation, BrokerLink’s own referral network, and team collaboration.
  • Obtains all information required for a complete submission and collaborates with the Group Benefits Analyst to market and create proposal subject to Brokerlink guidelines. Ensures all information is collected and documented in order to ensure client is properly serviced.
  • Focus on retention of a well-established book of business or policies that may change from time to time.
  • Conduct regular meetings with clients to present renewals, employee group benefits meetings, and assess changing needs in an effort to strengthen the relationship that will contribute to achieving and exceeding retention targets
  • Provide life insurance advice to existing clients and referrals
  • Follow up on leads to quote and sell life and living benefits insurance
  • Develop and maintain a prospect list
  • Build and maintain excellent customer relationships
  • Driven to understand life and living benefits products to provide valuable solutions for clients based on their needs
  • Develops and maintains a positive, cooperative, professional image with clients, community profiles, company personnel and other staff members, conducts business in such a manner as to enhance the professional reputation of Brokerlink.
  • Keeps abreast of industry changes, product and service offerings, and shares information with Brokerlink Group Benefits team.
  • Collaborates with team members and insurer partners on any claim or service-related matters in an effort to resolving client issues.
  • Participates in Brokerlink sales training and initiatives. Proactively contribute to the effectiveness and work quality of the department and to Brokerlink as a whole; accept and adapt to changing requirements with respect to workflows and other job-related matters
  • The Successful candidate will have :

  • Excellent Organizational and Time Management skills; multi-tasking.
  • Post-Secondary Education or equivalent.
  • Ability to pass a criminal background check and credit check preferred
  • 5-8+ years Industry, Sales and Customer Service experience
  • LLQP
  • Bilingual communication written and verbal is an asset
