On behalf of our government client, Procom is seeking a Senior Application Support Analyst for a 12-month contract.

Our valued client requires a Senior Application Support Analyst oversee the Intermediate App Support resources.
Senior Application Support Analyst Responsibilities :
- Responsibilities will include Support model development and refinement; helping resolve application support incidents and user issues;
- provide user training; develop code / configuration fixes; perform applications’ maintenance and enhancements tasks as needed;
provide operational support; provide knowledge transfer and mentoring of staff.
- The successful applicant will be involved in task estimation, planning, and coordination of support activities; review system requirements specifications and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful resolution of issues;
- create detailed, and well-structured support documents to be used for knowledge transfer; identify, record, document thoroughly and track bugs;
and ensure that quality issues and defects are appropriately identified, documented, tracked, and resolved.
- This contract role requires individuals with great communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a diversified team.
- Successful candidates must possess strong technical and professional knowledge and skills, stress tolerance and the ability to think innovatively.
- You must also be team-oriented with the ability to build strategic working relationships and demonstrate innovation / initiative with a focus on providing inputs and recommendations for developing business and system requirements, and effort estimates.
- Coordinate with team members, the team Leader / Supervisor, and other departments to organize resolution of application incidents.
- Develop rules and SLAs that equip support services teams to balance scheduled and unscheduled requests based on priority, impact, and value to the business.
- Provide clear support documentation for all applications.
- Prepare the required team schedule to ensure prompt response to tickets.
- Create performance management metrics for support services staff to increase management visibility into performance.
- Plan, test, and implement system upgrades and troubleshoot integration points with other systems.
- Plan and coordinate tasks for your team and act as a mentor to team members.
- Plan and schedule regular maintenance tasks, perform overall health checks of the systems and perform root cause analysis.
- Recommend standards, policies, and procedures.
Senior Application Support Analyst Must Have Skills :
- Five (5) years of experience as an Application Support Analyst designing, implementing, documenting, and supporting software solutions.
- Five (5) years of experience providing leadership to the application support team to ensure maintenance of high-quality service delivery in line with defined service level agreements.
- Five (5) years of experience with Java web frameworks preferably Spring framework, Spring boot and JavaScript frontend libraries like React, Angular, Vue and jQuery.
- Five (5) years of experience in database technologies, reports generation, and scripting in Oracle or PostgresSQL and performing analytics with Microsoft Power BI.
- Five (5) years' development and support experience in programming languages like Java and JavaScript.
- Five (5) years of experience developing and maintaining unit and integration tests, working with Git, Gitlab, Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes, and Message Brokers like RabbitMQ, ActiveMQ
- Five (5) years of experience supporting applications in the cloud and on premise with debugging and problem-solving skills.
- Five (5) years of experience migrating data and deploying modules or components between Development, Test and Production environments.
- Five (5) years of experience generating the highest level of application support documentation, based on the application needs and other identified constraints.
Senior Application Support Analyst Nice to Have Skills :
