Our client, a top Oil & Gas client in Canada is looking to hire a
Payroll Analyst for their team with a contract for 6 months. This role is Onsite for their Calgary, AB office.
We are currently looking for a Payroll Analyst to join our team. Reporting to the Manager, Payroll, this individual will have a strong payroll background and will perform duties to support all aspects of time and scheduling, as well as ongoing payroll auditing for Canada.
- Review, coordinate and manage all aspects of SAP Time and Schedule queries (update, audit, review, test, validate)
- Configure and maintain time and schedules
- Assist with analysis and issue resolution for domestic payroll and time processes to ensure data is administered correctly
- Monitor and report on various leave balances
- Participate in pay period audits and data review
- Commit to research and respond to internal/external inquiries on a timely basis
- Key member in time, schedule, and payroll projects (audits, enhancements, system upgrades, support) to improve quality of payroll services
- Back up and support for other payroll and time team members during absences
- Assist with year-end administration as required
The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications:
- 4+ years' progressive experience working with an integrated financial and payroll system
- PCP Certification, enrolled in or completion of NPI payroll designation course preferred
- SAP CATS experience is an asset, but not required
- Advanced Excel skills
- Proactive problem solving and analytical skills essential
- Flexible and able to work well under pressure of deadlines, multiple projects, changing priorities, and last-minute changes
- Detail oriented and excellent time management skills
- Maintain strict confidentiality
- Strong customer service, interpersonal and communication skills
- Works well in a collaborative team environment
- Able to work independently within a fast-paced team environment
