Position Title: M&A Project Manager

Position Reports To: PM Snr Manager Planning and Project Services

Location: Mississauga Ontario

Compensation: $115k-$143k

Role Overview:

The Project Manager is responsible for leading and managing M&A projects from initiation to completion ensuring that projects are delivered on time within budget and according to the specified requirements. This role involves coordinating cross-functional teams communicating with stakeholders and overseeing project resources to achieve project objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Project Planning: Develop comprehensive project plans defining project scope objectives deliverables and timelines. Create work breakdown structures (WBS) and allocate resources accordingly. Identify and manage project risks
• Team Leadership: Lead and motivate cross-functional project teams providing guidance direction and support throughout the project lifecycle. Foster a collaborative team environment conducive to creativity and innovation
• Stakeholder Management: Communicate effectively with stakeholders to ensure alignment of project objectives with organizational goals. Manage stakeholder expectations and provide regular project updates
• Resource Management: Allocate resources efficiently including personnel budget and materials. Monitor resource utilization and make adjustments as needed to optimize project performance
• Risk Management: Identify potential risks and develop risk mitigation strategies. Proactively address issues that may impact project scope schedule or budget. Implement contingency plans as necessary
• Quality Assurance: Ensure deliverables meet quality standards and adhere to project specifications. Conduct regular quality reviews and implement corrective actions as needed to maintain project quality
• Budget Management: Monitor project budgets and expenditures tracking costs and variances throughout the project lifecycle. Ensure projects are delivered within budget constraints and justify any deviations
• Communication: Facilitate clear and timely communication among project team members stakeholders and other relevant parties. Prepare project status reports presentations and documentation as required
• Change Management: Manage changes to project scope schedule or resources assessing the impact on project objectives and stakeholders. Implement change control processes to document and track changes effectively
• Closure and Evaluation: Lead project closure activities including formal acceptance of deliverables handover to operational teams and post-project evaluation. Capture lessons learned and best practices for future projects

Qualifications and Skills

• Degree in a relevant field (e.g. Project Management Business Administration Engineering) required; Masters degree or professional certification (e.g. PMP PRINCE2) preferred
• Proven experience as a Project Manager managing complex projects from initiation to completion
• Previous experience in managing all technology related components in a merger and acquisition
• Experience can vary from small ( 50 People)
• We are looking for someone to oversee and managed the end to end process of multiple M&As
• The ideal candidate will be responsible for leading cross-functional teams within IT ensuring the smooth execution of the M&A or Divestiture
• Previous experience in leading the Due Diligence process of an M&A is highly preferred
• Strong leadership communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively collaborate with diverse stakeholders
• Broad cross-industry experience and domain expertise industrial manufacturing sector intercompany third-party distribution and branch retail operations experience an asset
• Solid understanding of enterprise applications including ERP Supply Chain Manufacturing Distribution & Retail Warehouse Management CRM Enterprise Content Management Financial/Corporate Performance Management BI & Analytics EDI and E-commerce
• Excellent organizational and time management skills with a keen attention to detail
• Proficiency in project management tools and software (e.g. Microsoft Project ServiceNow PPM Pro)
• Solid understanding of project management methodologies and best practices
• Ability to adapt to changing priorities and thrive in a fast-paced environment
• Analytical mindset with problem-solving abilities
• Excellent communication and presentations skills. Excellent problem solving skills
• Knowledge of industry-specific regulations and standards (e.g. ISO)
• Limited travel (National & International) may be required for this role
