Critical Incident Response

The Opportunity :

Supporting our TELUS Health Critical Incident Affiliate Network, this role provides on-site counselling / consult to organizational clients in the immediate aftermath of a traumatic worksite event.

Your responsibilities will be :

Perform a preliminary assessment of the situation in the workplace, and offer coaching and support to managers;

Implement post-traumatic intervention by interacting with internal and external clients and affiliated professionals;

Provide supervision and consultation to stakeholders when requested;

Manage the administrative needs of trauma support services;

Travel onsite to provide debriefing, defusing or support interventions.

Qualifications :

Masters in Social Work, Counselling, or other health related field;

Member in good standing with OCSWSSW or CRPO;

Bilingualism (English / French) considered an asset;

Minimum (5) five years post-grad clinical experience;

Training in Critical Incident Stress Management (CISM);

Experience providing group counselling / debriefing / defusing is a must;

Good knowledge of different work environments and organizational structure;

Flexible schedule to accept referrals with minimal notice.
