Position : Crew Foreperson

Job Statement :

Reporting to the General Manager of Complete Landscape, the Crew Foreperson is responsible for managing their team on site, communicating with strata council members, completing strata maintenance landscape duties from start to finish, and updating information in Jobber.

Essential Functions :

  • Ability to work Monday to Friday with a 7 am start at the shop.
  • Operate gas-powered equipment, 1-3 ton work trucks
  • Drive company vehicles to and from job sites.
  • Update job notes in Jobber.
  • Monitor and report equipment repairs.
  • Understand every aspect of landscape maintenance, including gardening, hedging, line trimming, general pruning, lawn mowing, and ride-on lawn mowing.
  • Monitor and manage the crew’s time to ensure tasks are completed within the scheduled time frame.
  • Perform setup and cleanup tasks at job sites.
  • Develop daily work plans and assign tasks to crew members based on priorities and project requirements.
  • Load and unload supplies and / or garbage / recyclables to and from vehicles.
  • Deliver refuse (green waste, garbage, recyclables) to dumps or recycling depots.
  • Ensure the worksite is organized and free of clutter, rubble, and garbage.
  • Use company trucks to salt and plow roadways.
  • Teach team members and ensure they uphold all policies and procedures.
  • Ensure the team adheres to our quality standards.
  • Train new crew members on proper landscaping techniques, safety procedures, and company policies.
  • Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities :

  • Ability to take instruction and follow directions.
  • Leadership skills to effectively manage a team.
  • Understanding of general profitability on jobs.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt.

  • Working Conditions :

  • Overtime as required.
  • Work is performed in an outdoor setting, which may include inclement weather, heat, humidity, and exposure to dust and noise.
  • Must be physically able to repetitively lift and carry at least 50 lbs regularly.
  • Use of Personal Protective Equipment as required.
  • Compensation :

  • Competitive pay with bonus opportunities.
  • Raise every 6 months ($0.50 increment).
