Title : PL / SQL Developer

Summary :
The Sr. Data Engineer isresponsible for designing implementing and supporting fulllifecycle data engineering projects. Theseprojects should include large data ingestion persistencetransformation and retrieval.
Will develop maintain and deployplatform or application code stored procedures function triggers indevelopment staging and production environments.
Perform finetuning and optimization of SQL and PL / SQL code to improve queryresponse. Debug and support production issues and assist withsystem integration and testing.
Carry out complex DDL DML andanalytical functions to assist developers in applicationdelivery.
Requirements :
Bachelors degree in Computer Science Engineering or otherequivalent degree with 5 years data engineering experience orMasters degree in Computer Science Engineering or other equivalentdegree with 2 years data engineering preferred.
High school diplomaor GED is required. Requires 2 years experience in thedesign implementation and support of full lifecycle dataengineering projects.
Experience in event driven and cloudbasedarchitectures and working knowledge of containerization andstreaming technologies.
Detailed work experience on OracleSingleStore or IBM I DB2 database SQL & PL / SQL including ANSISQL. Experience in database analysis development and maintenance ofbusiness applications specific to oil & gas backofficeoperations.
Expertise in various ETL tools such as SQL*LoaderEqualum Python scripts. Familiarity with NoSQL databases andpipelines (Elasticsearch MongoDB).
Inregard to Python they might ask about where acandidate has used Python in Data Loading or moving data from onesource into specific table structure possibly using ElasticSearch.
They will also want to know what theyhave done creating any Rest APIs
Airflow is another tool they willexpect the candidate has worked with in their recent experience. Itis expected they can discuss how and why use of Airflow made sensein their project.
Big Data / Databricks is notpart of this role. Candidates with the bulk of their experience onCloud and Big Data work will probably not be a fit for this role .
