Job description

MatchBox Consulting Group is currently seeking a Veeam Windows Systems Administrator for a 12- month contract role (with possibility of extension)  with a client of ours located in Victoria. This position can work fully remote anywhere in Canada.

Responsibilities :

Manage and maintain Windows Server environments (2016 / 2019 / 2022).

Configure and support Veeam Backup & Replication solutions.

Monitor and troubleshoot system performance, backups, and recoveries.

Implement security best practices and ensure compliance.

Collaborate on IT infrastructure projects and maintain technical documentation.

Manage and maintain Veeam backup and recovery solutions.

Implement and configure Veeam components for optimal performance and reliability.

Monitor Veeam backup jobs and troubleshoot any issues or failures.

Collaborate with the team to design and implement backup and recovery strategies.

Ensure compliance with data retention and recovery policies.

Provide technical support and guidance on Veeam backup solutions.

Qualifications :

Education : Bachelor’s degree in IT or related field (or equivalent experience).

Experience : 3+ years in Windows systems administration and Veeam solutions.

Strong experience with Veeam backup and recovery solutions.

Proficient in configuring and managing Veeam components.

Solid understanding of backup and recovery principles and best practices.

Skills : Active Directory, Group Policy, VMware / Hyper-V, and networking basics.

Preferred : Microsoft or Veeam certifications (e.g., VMCE).
