About the Opportunity
Reporting to the Pharmacy Operations Manager, the Drug Access Navigator - Registered Pharmacy Technician will facilitate appropriate medication funding for ambulatory care patients.
As a Drug Access Navigator (DAN), the successful candidate will work closely with ambulatory care patients and the health care team throughout the Western Zone to maximize available medication funding and access. This includes, but not limited to, coverage enrollment, exception requests, compassionate programs, reassessments, appeals, and advocacy for drug coverage. DANs engage in multidisciplinary collaboration with various health care team members - for example, physicians, nurses, pharmacists, pharmacy assistants, registered pharmacy technicians, social workers, community navigators, drug representatives, patient support programs, administration staff, patients and pharmacies. The DAN would also be responsible for managing patient-specific medication stock as well as collecting / disseminating data.
The duties of the DAN are subject to change based on both operational and patient needs. The successful candidate will be expected to be engaged in the building process of this new and exciting position, and to adapt to the ever-changing landscape of ambulatory care.
About You

Licensure and registration in Nova Scotia as a Pharmacy Technician (NSPR) required

Compensation and Benefits
Registered Technician : $30.52 - $34.43 Hourly
(Pharmacy Practice Assistants : $25.37 - $30.20)
