Parts Assistant

Maple Leaf Marinas (“MLM”)) is the largest owner and operator of marinas, marine resorts, and boat dealerships in Canada. MLM’s fast-growing portfolio includes 20 locations across the Lake Simcoe, Owen Sound, Georgian Bay, and Muskoka regions.

Position Overview

The successful candidate must be customer-oriented with strong interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment is essential. This full-time position requires weekend availability, with an immediate start date. Below is a summary of the responsibilities:

Duties:

1. Provide a pleasant experience for customers.
2. Conduct inventory checks and counts as assigned by the Parts Manager.
3. Collaborate with the service department and technicians to order parts and book them on work orders.
4. Order and receive parts into inventory.
5. Maintain stocked shelves, organization, and up-to-date pricing of Ship’s Store products.
6. Operate the POS system.
7. Assist customers.
8. Set up displays.
9. Assist the Parts Manager with daily tasks.

Additional Responsibilities:

1. Answer telephones.
2. Assist with coordinating special events.
3. Perform other duties as assigned by the General Manager, Parts Manager, or Service Manager.

Job Requirements:

1. Valid driver’s license.
2. Friendly and professional telephone manner.
3. Sales experience, with a preference for those thriving in a social retail environment.
4. Knowledge of Georgian Bay and the boating lifestyle.
