Job Summary
Reporting to the Senior Manager, People & Culture, the People & Culture Generalist plays a key role in fostering a positive, supportive, and engaging workplace culture. This position supports a broad range of People & Culture initiatives, including training and development, compensation, employee relations, policy development, and company‑wide programs designed to enhance the employee experience and strengthen organizational effectiveness.
Responsibilities
- Design, organize, and facilitate employee and manager training programs to enhance skills, productivity, and team effectiveness.
- Lead full‑cycle recruitment, including job postings, screening, interviews, reference checks, and onboarding.
- Support annual compensation reviews and assist in administering bonus programs.
- Conduct exit interviews, analyze feedback, and recommend retention and engagement strategies.
- Provide guidance to managers on employee relations, disciplinary actions, and conflict resolution.
- Conduct investigations into complaints or policy violations, maintaining confidentiality and fairness.
- Develop, implement, and update People & Culture (P&C) policies and procedures in alignment with legal and organizational standards.
- Manage accommodation requests and leaves of absence, ensuring compliance and operational balance.
- Administer termination processes in compliance with legislation and company policy.
- Support performance management processes, including goal‑setting, evaluations, and feedback.
- Collaborate across departments to support organizational initiatives and special projects.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.5+ years of progressive experience in HR, with strong grounding in employee relations, learning, and HR operations.Solid understanding of employment legislations and HR best practices.Excellent communication, facilitation, and problem‑solving skills.Exhibits strong emotional intelligence and the ability to handle sensitive matters with discretion, empathy, and sound judgment.Proficiency with HRIS systems (e.g., ADP) and MS Office Suite.CHRP designation (or in progress) is an asset.What Sets You Apart
