We are looking for a motivated and passionate candidate to become part of our high paced, professional Air Import Team.
Position Overview :
The Air Import Operations Coordinator will be the essential of our air import operations, ensuring that every shipment is handled with precision and efficiency. This role requires a deep understanding of Canadian import regulations and international air freight procedures. The successful candidate will excel at multitasking, problem-solving, and maintaining strong relationships with clients and service providers.
Key Responsibilities :
- Lead and coordinate all aspects of air import operations, from initial planning to final delivery, ensuring compliance with the Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) and International Air Transport Association (IATA) standards.
- Ensure all shipments comply with Canadian customs regulations, including preparing and reviewing documentation such as air waybills, customs declarations, and commercial invoices.
- Act as the primary point of contact for airlines, customs brokers, and clients, providing regular updates on shipment status and addressing any issues promptly.
- Monitor the progress of shipments to ensure timely delivery, proactively managing any potential delays or disruptions in the supply chain.
- Handle claims related to cargo damages, discrepancies, or other issues, ensuring satisfactory resolutions while maintaining strong client relationships.
- Maintain meticulous records of all import activities, including billing on time, and generate detailed reports for clients and sales as needed.
- Stay informed about industry trends, regulatory updates, and best practices in air freight forwarding, contributing to continuous improvement within the team.
- Assist with the development and implementation of standard operating procedures for air import operations.
- Demonstrate an emphasis on customer satisfaction per company policy.
- Assisting as backup for alternate accounts.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Preferred Qualifications
Minimum of 3-5 years in air import operations, with a strong background in freight forwarding or logistics.In-depth knowledge of Canadian customs procedures and IATA regulations, with a proven track record of ensuring compliance.Proficient in logistics and supply chain management software, with advanced skills in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Outlook.Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and build rapport with clients and partners.Highly detail-oriented, with the ability to accurately process large volumes of documentation and data.Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a proactive approach to overcoming challenges in the import process.Post-secondary education in logistics, supply chain management, international trade, or a related field is preferred. Relevant certifications such as Certified Customs Specialist (CCS) or IATA certification are highly desirable.What We Offer :
