Reporting to the Manufacturing Engineering Manager, this position serves as the technical authority and mentor within the manufacturing engineering team. The role drives strategic process improvements, leads complex projects, and ensures alignment with organizational goals for efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness. Acting as a bridge between engineering, production, and leadership, the Lead Manufacturing Engineer oversees the development of standards and best practices while mentoring and developing junior team members. This position is critical in fostering innovation and maintaining technical excellence across the team.

Please note that this position is 100% in office.

Job Duties :

  • Serve as a technical leader and mentor for the engineering team.
  • Oversee and coordinate complex manufacturing projects, ensuring alignment with strategic goals.
  • Drive process innovation and optimization by identifying opportunities for cost reduction, quality improvement, and increased efficiency.
  • Act as the primary liaison between engineering, production, and leadership teams on technical matters.
  • Develop and maintain manufacturing standards, best practices, and training programs.
  • Requirements :

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
  • Degree-level qualification in Engineering or Manufacturing is preferred.
  • 8+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering, preferably in metal fabrication or related industries.
  • Expert knowledge of fabrication processes, CAD software (particularly SolidWorks and AutoCAD), CNC programming, tooling design, and Lean / Continuous Improvement methodologies.
  • Strong analytical skills for root cause analysis and process optimization.
  • Proficient in leading cross-functional teams and managing projects with tight deadlines.
  • Demonstrated ability to mentor and develop junior engineers.
  • Additional certifications in Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, or PMP are highly desirable.
