Mandatory
1. Language Capacity : proposed resource can communicate in English and French, both orally and in writing, without any assistance, and minimal error.
2. Education : Resource must hold a Doctoral degree in Psychology. If the degree was obtained outside of Canada, the contractor must provide an evaluation from a recognized third party that confirms the degree's equivalency to a Canadian degree
3. Related Qualifications : Resources must have an unrestricted license to practice psychology and must be in "good standing" with the relevant provincial or territorial regulatory body in the province or territory where they practice
4. Related Experience : Resources must have at least 2,000 hours or one (1) year full time equivalent of experience in directly providing patient care within the last five years
Background
The Mental Health Services Department within 31 CF Health Services has identified ongoing challenges related to workplace climate, including issues with communication, collaboration, and conflict management among staff and leadership. These challenges have the potential to impact team effectiveness, staff morale, patient care, and overall service delivery. Previous broad organizational approaches to workplace assessments have highlighted the need for more focused, small-group interventions that foster productive dialogue and teamwork.
TASKS
The Psychologist is to provide a full range of psychological services. The required services may include but are not limited to, the following :
- Task 1 : Assess individuals and evaluate their psychological health within the work environment.
- Task 2 : Gather qualitative data on workplace climate, perceptions, and conflict dynamics.
- Task 3 : Design and facilitate an in-person team intervention session tailored to the department’s needs based on assessment findings.
- Task 4 : Provide follow-up communications to support leadership in implementing agreed-upon strategies.
DELIVERABLES
Deliverable 1 : Schedule a kick-off meeting between the proposed resource and the Technical Authority (or designated representative) within two (2) weeks of contract award.Deliverable 2 : Written communiques summarizing interim findings and observations from confidential interviews, delivered within 4 weeks.Deliverable 3 : Design documentation and facilitation materials for the in-person team intervention session, delivered within 5 weeks.Deliverable 4 : Summary of outcomes and follow-up communications from the facilitated team intervention session along with a comprehensive final report detailing assessment methodology, key findings, root cause analysis, conflict zone classification, and actionable recommendations. Delivered by end of contract period.Deliverable 5 : Ensure Psychologists sign a non-disclosure agreement (NDA) before commencing work.ANTICIPATED LEVEL OF EFFORT (LOE)
LOE1 Task 1&2 and Deliverable 2 : The Contractor must conduct approximately 28 1hr one-on-one interviews with staff and leadership over the course of 4 weeks. For each individual interviewed; a written statement summarizing interim findings and observations from confidential interviews must be completed within the same 4 weeks. This service must be conducted in person.LOE2 Task 3&4 and Deliverable 3&4 : The Contractor must design and facilitate an in-person team intervention session tailored to the department’s needs based on assessment findings. Following the in-person team session, the Contractor must provide follow-up written communication to support leadership in implementing agreed-upon strategies. This must be completed within the following 4 weeks after LOE1. This service must be conducted in person.
