We are currently hiring for Property Field Adjusters to join our Field Claims team. This role will be home based and we are looking for field adjusters in the Greater Halifax Area in Nova Scotia!

What you’ll do :

Completes on site and / or virtual inspections of personal and commercial claims

Responsible for capturing the scope of damages and writing repair estimates to settle claims

Reconciles and validates vendor estimates to ensure price and scope is appropriate

Investigate by meeting with insureds, third parties, witnesses and lawyers in or order to obtain facts and information.

Review facts, policy, technical reports, fire marshall reports, case law, and make decisions on coverage, value of the claim and negotiate / settle the claim accordingly

Responsible for providing exemplary customer service and keeping related parties informed of the claims status.

Responsible for data accuracy, issuance of payments to insureds, vendors and other insurance companies.

Assistance during CAT's within Canada.

Correspond with third parties, lawyers, insureds, brokers and individuals or companies who have an interest in the claim settlement.

What you’ll bring :

2+ years experience as a Field adjuster handling Personal Lines and Commercial lines claims

Strong background in Property Insurance

Preference given to a candidate with the ability to scope damages and prepare an estimate for repairs

Good PC skills and adaptable using new technology

Valid drivers license

What you’ll get

The salary band for this position ranges from $49,000 to $91,000. Please note that individual salary is determined by factors such as job-related knowledge, skills and experience, as well as internal equity.
