Primary Duties :
- Develops and implements appropriate improvement actions to continuously leverage EHS, Quality and Manufacturing performance.
- Accountable for the health and safety of employees and ensure compliance with all established Heath & Safety rules and the Occupational Health & Safety Act. Actively lead and develop high standards of 5S.
- Accountable for manufacturing KPI’s – yield, up-time and flow rate and labour utilization.
- Together with team members, monitor process performance in order to identify areas for improvement and coordinate preventive and corrective actions.
- Utilize robust Root Cause analysis to identify and prevent the re-occurrence of any nonconformity relating to product, process and quality system.
- Maintain FMEA, Control plans, SOP’s and Flow diagrams for their respective area.
- Responsible for the training of team members in Standard Operating Procedures and ensure regular audits for the maintenance of such procedures.
- Assist in the development of new products or processes and systems.
- Responsible for setting up systems process capability measurement and training team members in statistical process control (SPC) in order to ensure that the internal / external customer needs are met.
- Continuously works with plant and technical teams to improve existing process designs to reduce production costs.
Qualifications Required :
Engineering degree or diploma in related field –mechanical engineering.3 to 5 years experience in manufacturing environment.Must have experience working in manufacturing problem solving from start to finish using structured problem solving and Lean Manufacturing tools .Excellent communication skillsSuperior computer skills – word, excel, ppt, outlookSupervisory skills are an assetExperience training employees is an asset
