Position Overview
The Pharmacy Assistant Data Entry Lead will be reporting to the Operations Manager. The position is responsible for technical and workflow functions concerning all of Data Entry's workflow; Specifically, training of new pharmacy assistants in both refills and new order entry, troubleshooting staff inquiries, investigating incidents in the Data Entry department and meeting daily operation objectives. They are also responsible for projects and pharmacy initiatives in the department as delegated by the pharmacy management team.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
- Performs operational duties to support the overall Data Entry department objectives
- Lead and carry out Data Entry and Refill tasks
- Troubleshoots and resolves staff inquiries about the workflow
- Leads training of new pharmacy assistants, and provides work related feedback to existing staff members in a timely manner
- Reviews the daily workflow throughout the day and reports delays to the Manager on duty
- Investigate incidents as it pertains to the Data Entry department, as assigned by the pharmacy manager
- Proactively provides solutions to resolve issues in the department
- Complete filing requirements in accordance with the College regulations
- Provides timely updates and reports concerns to the Pharmacy Manager
- Work in collaboration with the Pharmacy Manager and Operations Manager to implement corporate initiatives relating to Data Entry workflow efficiency
- Maintain customer service expectations in a timely manner, knowing when to involve their direct manager
- Perform other duties as assigned to support CareRx
- New Home onboarding protocols on all communication platforms
- Work with external business opportunities to complete medication proccessing for special clinics
- Understand the connections with Kroll and the local EMAR platforms; Catalyst, PCC-IMM, PCC-OM, MediCare
- Understand pharmanet Adjudication goverment formularies with all provincial plans

Minimum one year of pharmacy data entry experienceExperience with Pharmanet Adjudication and Third Party BillingExperience with Kroll systemExperience with MS Office, such as Outlook and Smartsheet, Google Sheets an assetOther duties will be assigned as required
