Junior Accountant

Do you thrive in a fast-paced, goal-driven environment? We’re hiring a Junior Accountant for a growing firm based in Port Perry. We’re looking for someone motivated, detail-oriented, and eager to grow, with a solid foundation in accounting and tax principles and a commitment to high-quality, client-focused work.

Key Responsibilities :

– Prepare T1 Personal Income Tax Returns

– Prepare T2 Corporate Income Tax Returns

– Prepare year-end adjusting journal entries and working paper files for Compilation Engagements (Notice to Reader)

– Accurately enter and categorize financial transactions in accounting software (QuickBooks Online and Desktop)

– Perform reconciliations of bank, credit card, and other financial accounts

– Prepare and file HST / GST returns on a timely basis

– Communicate with clients to collect information, clarify details, and provide updates

– Maintain and organize client files in a secure and systematic manner

– Provide support to senior accountants and partners

Requirements :

– Post-secondary education in Accounting, Finance, or related field

– Experience with accounting software (QuickBooks Online / Desktop); CaseWare is an asset

– Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks

– Excellent communication and organizational skills

– Ability to work independently and as part of a team

– Willingness to travel to our Port Perry office as required
