Job description

Our client is a premier stone fabrication and installation company specializing in countertop production for custom residential, multi-family residential, and commercial markets. Committed to maintaining the highest standards of quality and service, all production is completed in-house, and installations are handled by dedicated teams. Recent growth has led to the opening of a state-of-the-art 13,000 sq. ft. production facility equipped with two bridge saws, two CNC work centers, and a line polisher.

About the Role

The Senior Estimator plays a critical role in the Business Development team by delivering accurate and competitive cost estimates for custom stone countertop and backsplash fabrication projects. This role involves conducting detailed take-offs for both custom single-family homes and multi-family developments, collaborating with designers, contractors, and suppliers to ensure precise calculations. The Senior Estimator’s expertise will contribute directly to project success, profitability, and client satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform detailed take-offs from architectural drawings using AutoCAD or Bluebeam.
  • Accurately estimate material, labor, and installation costs for stone countertops and backsplashes.
  • Prepare and submit bids and proposals for residential and commercial projects.
  • Obtain and validate material pricing from suppliers.
  • Collaborate with sales, project management, and production teams to refine and optimize estimates.
  • Leverage software tools like AutoCAD and Bluebeam to ensure precise measurements and proposals.
  • Ensure all estimates align with client specifications, budgets, and project timelines.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, material innovations, and cost fluctuations.

Qualifications

  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and Bluebeam for take-offs and project analysis.
  • In-depth knowledge of countertop fabrication techniques, including mitered edges, sink and faucet cutouts, and waterfall designs.
  • A minimum of 2 years of estimating experience in the stone fabrication or construction industry.
  • Strong analytical skills and exceptional attention to detail.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple bids and meet tight deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders.
  • Compensation :

  • 75,000 to 90,000
