ABOUT THE ROLEJotform has expanded to Vancouver and is seeking Senior Security Engineer in our brand new downtown Vancouver office.

The ideal candidate is experienced in web applications and cloud infrastructure, and has in-depth experience with digital forensics and incident response in a global SaaS product environment, working as part of a team operating across multiple time zones.

Here’s what you will be doing : Act as a key resource in building our security competency in our new Vancouver office, helping to orient new team members with our established global security organization.

Coordinate cyber, infrastructure, and application teams to enable and expedite root cause analysis (RCA) and risk mitigation.

Perform forensics investigation based on logs and other data. Validate containment and remediation measures, and perform RCA as necessary.

Provide security support for a web based SaaS product operating on distributed cloud infrastructure (GCP / AWS). Prevent problems before they occur with threat modeling and risk assessments.

Analyze infrastructure and application security findings and vulnerabilities. Partner with DevOps, Engineering and Security teams to mitigate findings and create security solutions.

Recommend new solutions and toolings to bring Jotform’s security frameworks to the next level.Analyze incidents and events for trends, patterns, or actionable information.

Facilitate review meetings as necessary.Wear different hats depending on the situation - builder / teacher / mentor, and incident responder.

Education & Work Experience & Technical Requirements : BS Degree in Computer Science / Engineering, Information Security / Technology or in a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.

Minimum of five (5) years of hands-on experience in Cybersecurity, InfoSec, Security Engineering, Network Engineering with experience in at least 2 of the following areas : cloud security, web application security, incident response, threat hunting, and cyber security operations.

Hands-on technical skills in Linux.At least one scripting language such as Python or Bash.Experience in at least one coding language such as PHP and JavaScript is a plus.

At least one standard industry certification such as GSEC,CISA / CISM / CISSP / CSCS / CEH or equivalent certifications or willingness to obtain within 8 months.

Excellent command of English.Excellent problems solving skills, ability to coordinate with different local and global teams.

Personal Specifications / Skills : Adept at working in a fast-paced and fluid environment.Ability to influence peers and stakeholders to prioritize issues as needed.

High proficiency creating and presenting management reports.Experience in a global environment covering multiple time zones and open to occasional international travel.
