Role
As a Cost Estimator, you will play a key role in providing accurate, reliable cost planning and estimation services across a range of construction projects. You will support feasibility studies, tender processes, and project cost management while helping clients make informed financial decisions.
Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed cost estimates, cost plans, and budget forecasts for construction projects.
- Analyze drawings, specifications, and tender documents to identify project requirements.
- Obtain and evaluate quotations from suppliers and subcontractors.
- Support value engineering exercises to identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Participate in client meetings and presentations, providing clear and confident cost advice.
- Assist in tender evaluations and preparation of bid submissions.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of market prices, construction methods, and industry trends.
- Collaborate with project managers, designers, and other stakeholders to ensure cost accuracy throughout project delivery.
Requirements
Experience as a Cost Estimator, Quantity Surveyor, or similar role.Excellent analytical and numerical skills with exceptional attention to detail.Proficient with estimation software and Microsoft Excel.Strong communication skills with the ability to present complex information clearly.A proactive, organised individual who can manage multiple deadlines.Relevant qualifications in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or related discipline.Excellent spoken and written French; functional English required.Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and pricing specific to Québec.What We Can Offer
