Job Overview : Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer – Community Health, the Project Manager oversees the planning, execution and completion of assigned projects. This role is responsible for meeting with internal clients / leaders, tracking project performances, meeting budgetary objectives, solving issues, ensuring stakeholder satisfaction and evaluating project performance. A project manager needs to have strong communication, leadership, problem-solving and organizational skills. This is a permanent, full-time position.
Key Responsibilities :
- Lead, plan, and organize projects programs using standardized tools and techniques.
- Ensure that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget.
- Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation
- Manage multiple projects concurrently.
- Develop and organize project plans, risks, milestones and timelines. Track progress against stated milestones.
- Perform risk assessment throughout the project to minimize project risk
- Facilitate Project Meetings
- Provide leadership and organization to project resource team members by monitoring, delegating, and reviewing work completed by the team
- Ensure effective and timely communication of project goals, timelines, deliverables, monitoring etc.
- Support the project team in identifying, managing and escalating risks, issues, problems, and challenges to the Chief Operating Officer Primary Health Care.
- Effectively engage stakeholders to establish cross-functional alignment for projects.
- Actively and positively negotiate solutions in areas of conflict.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Experience :
Knowledge of project management principles, basic PMO tools and methodologies.3 to 5 years of project coordinator / management and healthcare experience.Project Management Professional PMP designation is referred.Working knowledge with MS Project MS Office suite and VisioAbility to maintain positive relationships as well be self-directed and effective in team environments as requiredStrong time management skills and ability to meet deadlines are essentialProven accountability in managing large complex projectsProven project management skills ability to lead meetings, prioritize, resolve conflicts maintain issues lists manage project plans and escalate issues appropriatelyStrong communication and follow-up skillsProven issues management skills and experienceA bachelor's degree plus working towards a project management designation is preferredHealthcare system knowledge and experience is considered an assetDemonstrated knowledge, understanding and commitment to the Truth and Reconciliation Commission of Canada : Calls to Action.Work Environment and Hours :
Predominantly at The Alex Community Health Centre (-2 Ave SE, Calgary)1.0 FTE (37.5 hours of work / wk)Standard hours 8 : 30 – 4 : 30, Monday to Friday, some flexibility in schedule availableContinuous extended periods of sitting, with some standing and walking (sometimes up / down stairwells).Occasional physical activity requiring the ability to bend / crouch, reach above shoulder height, kneel / crawl, and carry objects (up to 20 lbs) throughout the shift.Benefits :
