Reports to : Site Supervisor or Client Services Manager Location : CFS Masset Work Status : Part-time or Full-time Shift Times : Days 8am-4pm; Evenings 4pm-12am; and Overnights 12am – 8am Wage : $21.50 / hr - $22.53 / hr Summary : The Access Control Guard stationed CFS Masset plays a critical role in safeguarding personnel, facilities, and assets against potential threats, ensuring the security and integrity of the base operations. This position requires vigilance, discipline, and adherence to strict protocols to maintain a safe and secure environment in accordance with site orders. Responsibilities : Access Control and Patrol : Monitor access points, gates, and entryways to the military base, verifying credentials and authorizations for personnel, vehicles, and visitors. Conduct perimeter patrols and surveillance to detect and deter unauthorized entry, suspicious activity, or security breaches. Security Monitoring and Response : Monitor surveillance cameras, alarm systems, and communication channels to detect and respond to security incidents or emergencies promptly. Coordinate with military personnel, and emergency responders to facilitate effective response and resolution of security incidents. Emergency Preparedness and Response : Participate in training exercises and drills to enhance readiness and preparedness for various security scenarios, including active threats, natural disasters, or terrorist attacks. Familiarize oneself with emergency response plans, protocols, and procedures, and take decisive action to implement them effectively during emergencies. Report Writing and Documentation : Maintain accurate and detailed records of security incidents, observations, and activities using written reports, logs, or electronic documentation systems. Required Qualifications and Experience : Must be able to obtain a Level II (Secret) Security Clearance. Must be minimum 19 years of age. Must be able to work in a range of weather conditions throughout shift. Must be fluent in the English language - written, verbal and reading skills. Must have a positive attitude, and strong interpersonal and customer service skills. Have excellent attention to detail to fulfill duties and responsibilities and incident report writing. Have excellent problem-solving skills with an ability to handle emergency situations in a calm manner. Have the ability to work independently and make sound decisions in varying situations.
