Hello, I'm Hugo, Recruitment and Business Development Consultant at Fed Finance, a recruitment firm specializing in accounting, finance and payroll.

I'm looking for a Senior Payroll Specialist for my client, a sports and entertainment company located in downtown Montreal. This is a full-time, permanent position.

Your duties will include

  • Responsible for administering and producing payroll according to specific cycles for

Canadian and American payrolls.

  • Manage employee files;
  • Calculate retroactive or other special payments;
  • Respond to questions and requests from employees, managers and
  • from employees, managers and external Canadian and U.S. organizations regarding

  • payroll data;
  • Collaborate in the production of various management reports and participate in the
  • annual audit file;
  • Prepare records of employment;
  • Ensure compliance and integrity of information;
  • Manage CNESST files;
  • Actively participate in optimizing processes and procedures;
  • Participate in the annual year-end cycle, including T4 / T4A, Relevé 1 and W2;
  • Carry out all other duties as required.
  • DEC in accounting or any other relevant discipline;
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in a similar position;
  • Excellent knowledge of the Office suite, intermediate level with Excel;
  • Rigorous and autonomous;
  • Knowledge of the Dayforce system an important asset;
  • Knowledge of Canadian and US legislation;
  • Excellent organizational skills, ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks
  • numerous tasks at once;
  • Ability to analyze and synthesize;
  • Bilingualism (required to communicate with teams in different Canadian provinces
  • and the United States).

  • National Payroll Institute certification (PCP, PPQ or LAP);
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills in both French and English.
