Reporting to the Manager Biomedical Engineering the Biomedical Technologist will provide services and support on equipment at all Osler sites.
Accountabilities :
- Responsible for repair preventative maintenance monitoring quality and risk management programs consultation installation and in-service education
- Maintain accurate work documentation in the departments CMMS
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications :
Electronics Engineering Diploma specializing in biomedical engineering from an accredited programMinimum of three years recent biomedical engineering experiencePrior experience working within a hospital setting is preferredThorough knowledge of biomedical engineering electronics engineering current computer trouble-shooting and network knowledge relevant codes and standardsKnowledge of human anatomy physiology and medical terminologyExcellent problem-solving and organizational skillsExcellent interpersonal and communication skillsExcellent attendance punctuality and work recordAbility to work in a collaborative manner with a wide variety of clinical and non-clinical personnelPrior experience maintaining Philips physiological monitors / telemetry systems is an assetPrior experience servicing Welch Allyn integrated vital signs machines is an assetPrior experience servicing ventilators is an assetPrior experience working within the surgical suite is an assetMust have own vehicle to travel to all Osler sitesMust demonstrate Oslers Values of Respect Excellence Service Compassion Innovation and CollaborationThe applicant must be able to meet the physical demands of this position (must be able to lift at least 25 kg)Additional Information :
Hours : Currently days evenings and nights including weekends and statutory holidays (subject to change in accordance with operational requirements)
Fully Onsite : Roles involved in direct patient care that are needed onsite for each shift.
Salary :
Minimum : $36.85 per hour
Maximum : $50.27 per hour
