Supply Educational Assistant

DCDSB invites qualified Educational Assistants (EA) to apply for our Casual/Supply EA employment opportunities.

Applicants Require The Following Qualifications

• Two (2) or three (3) year diploma from a recognized Community College in an area related to Special Education or a Bachelor of Arts degree.
• Ability to work with all children including a wide variety of students with special needs.
• Support the Gospel values and philosophy of Inclusion
• Three (3) to Six (6) months previous related experience and/or job placement.

Preferred But Not Required Qualifications Include

• UMAB and/or CPI and/or NVCI qualification
• Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)
• Behaviour Management Systems (BMS) Training
• Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA) Training
• Assistive Technology Software
• Augmentative Communication
• Safe Back Care or Lifting Ambulation
