About the role
This positions reports to the Lockheed Martin, America's Region Senior Manager and is accountable / responsible for the operational and engineering activities as they relate to IT infrastructure, including performance, costs, and schedules.
The successful applicant will be the key liaison between the Lockheed Martin International Infrastructure (I2) teams, Latin America IT teams, the Business Application Services and Tools teams, Digital Workplace teams, as well as other cross functional teams. This positions goal is to enhance and support our Lockheed Martin Canadian Infrastructure Operations and it's various integrations into the global operational environment.
Responsible for multiple infrastructure domains, including data-centre operations, hosting (server / storage administration, on premise and cloud), and coordinating technical staffing - confirming available budget, communicating with IT managers, and validating resources match project requirements.
This role also involves interfacing with other infrastructure leads across the corporation to represent Canada's interest, coordinate programs of work and initiatives, and communicate on infrastructure matters and policy across the team.
Specific Responsibilities
- Planning and execution of all Infrastructure Performance and Digital Communications "IP&DC" (Infrastructure Management and Support Services, Health Management, Network Operations, Voice / Video, WAN, Wireless, Local Area Network, etc.) deliverables and Digital Delivery "D2" (Enterprise common Infrastructure, Data Center Infrastructure Billing, Compute, Storage, Managed Services, Automation, Backups, Security, etc) deliverables and milestones - oversee the day to day operations of the IP&DC and D2 teams, providing continuous service improvement through proactive response management
- Responsible for coordinating subordinate employee training, performance assessments, work assignments, and recognition / administrative / disciplinary actions
- Ensuring all SLA's are monitored and met on a day to day basis
- Tracking and trouble-shooting issues, change controls acting as a point of escalation within the team, resolution of 2nd / 3rd line Systems issues
- Maintains, updates team resource plan
- Growing and maintaining the portfolio, including roadmap development to enhance our products and service delivery.
- Understands content, processes, and procedures associated with implementing enterprise services. Writes standard operating instructions, functional requirements, develops test plans, and works with production issues.
- Project initiation and scoping of business and technical requirements
- Creation of SoW, design documentation, Visio diagrams, project plans
- Working within the company Project Framework
- Liaise and engages with relevant stakeholders including end client, business partners and other teams within EIT to promote capability of service
- Other duties, as required from time to time, by the employer.
