Description
Position
Objective :
Install and repair electrical systems, apparatus, and electrical and electronic components of individual machinery and equipment. Pull electrical permits and authorize electrical work to be completed within the facility. Meet all Safety operational standards.

Operations
- Install power supply wiring and conduit for newly installed machines and equipment such as conveyors and programmable controllers.
- Connect power supply wires t machines and equipment, and connect cables and wires between machines and equipment.
- Diagnose malfunctioning apparatus such as transformers, motors, and lighting fixtures and replace damaged or broken wires and cables.
- Test malfunctioning machinery and discuss malfunction with other maintenance workers to diagnose malfunction.
- Replace faulty electrical components of machine such as relays, switches, and motors, and positions sensing devices.
- Diagnose and repair or replace faulty electronic components, such as printed circuit boards.
- Replace electric motor bearings and rewires motors.
- Operate computer controlled (PLC) systems and lap top computer interface, program and troubleshoot automated machinery.
- Diagnose and replace faulty mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic electrical apparatus in process and / or building operations.
- Request parts (stock or equipment) for purchase and implementation.
Planning
Assist in planning layout of wiring and installs wiring, conduit, and electrical apparatus in buildings.Human Resources

A COMBINATION OF THE LISTED SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE IS PREFERRED
High school diploma or general education degree (GED).One to three months related experience and / or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.Journeyman Electrician’s License. Preferred Masters License.Ability to operate specific computer software and related hardware.Work with minimum supervision (self-driven).H2S alive training.Confined space training.St. Johns Ambulance first aid training.Experience in food processing.Fork truck certified.Ability to program PLC or electronic controllers.Excellent trouble shooting, organizational and communication skills.other factors
Ability to work rotating shifts.Occasional overtime may be required.Occasional call in's to support plant in emergency situations.WORKING CONDITIONS

The employee occasionally works in high places and in outside weather conditions and is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemical, extreme cold, and extreme heat.
