Job description

My client is seeking a skilled SAP S / 4HANA ABAP Developer to join our team and play a key role in designing, developing, and enhancing SAP solutions. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of ABAP programming, experience working with SAP S / 4HANA, and the ability to deliver custom solutions that meet business requirements.

As part of the development team, you will collaborate with functional consultants, end-users, and other technical teams to deliver high-quality solutions and support our SAP S / 4HANA implementation and ongoing enhancements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Development and Customization : Develop, test, and implement ABAP programs, reports, interfaces, forms, and enhancements in the SAP S / 4HANA environment.
  • Code Optimization : Analyze and optimize existing ABAP code to improve system performance and efficiency.
  • Technical Design : Design and document technical specifications for new developments and enhancements based on business requirements.
  • Integration : Develop and maintain interfaces (IDocs, RFC, BAPIs, and OData services) between SAP and non-SAP systems.
  • Modern ABAP Skills : Utilize modern ABAP techniques, including CDS Views, AMDP, and Fiori / UI5 extensions.
  • Collaboration : Work closely with functional consultants and end-users to gather requirements and deliver technical solutions.
  • Debugging and Troubleshooting : Analyze issues in existing solutions and provide fixes in a timely manner.
  • Upgrades and Migrations : Support system upgrades, migrations, and the transition to SAP S / 4HANA by identifying and remediating code issues.
  • Documentation : Prepare detailed technical documentation for all developments and enhancements.

Key Skills and Competencies

  • Strong hands-on experience with ABAP development in an SAP S / 4HANA environment.
  • Must have 2 E2E SAP S4Hana Implementation Experience
  • Proficiency in ABAP tools : Reports, Enhancements, ALV, BAPIs, BADIs, User Exits, and Forms (SmartForms / Adobe Forms).
  • Experience with Core Data Services (CDS Views) , AMDP (ABAP Managed Database Procedures) , and OData development.
  • Knowledge of SAP Fiori / UI5 integration and extension frameworks.
  • Experience with performance tuning, debugging, and optimizing custom ABAP code.
  • Familiarity with IDocs, BDC, RFC, and BAPI for data migration and integration.
  • Strong understanding of SAP modules (SD, MM, FI, etc.) to support development activities.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and in a collaborative team environment.

    • Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in SAP ABAP development, including at least 2+ years working with SAP S / 4HANA.
  • Must have 2 E2E SAP S4Hana Implementation Experience
  • Experience with SAP S / 4HANA development tools, such as Eclipse-based ABAP Development Tools (ADT).
  • Knowledge of SAP HANA database concepts and SQL scripting is an asset.
  • SAP certification in ABAP or S / 4HANA development is preferred.
