Position Summary
We are currently looking for a hard working and dedicated Environmental Services Worker to fill a Casual position at the Stewart Health Centre. In accordance with established vision and values of the organization, this position performs environmental services duties throughout the facility and maintains clean and sanitary conditions in areas such as patient / resident / client rooms, washrooms, corridors, hallways, lounges, offices and common areas used by staff, visitors and patients / residents / clients as established in Northern Health’s Policies and Procedures. This position is also responsible for performing manual duties related to maintenance of the building, grounds and equipment in compliance with applicable codes and regulations.
Stewart
Located at the head of Portland Canal, a steep, narrow ocean fjord that forms a natural border between British Columbia and Alaska is the community of Stewart. This is one of the most spectacular spots in BC, with its towering snow-capped mountains and hanging glaciers of Bear Pass. The population of Stewart is approximately 500 people. The major industries are logging, mining and tourism. There are four elementary schools, one middle school, one secondary school, and two post-secondary schools.
