This is a term position to provide maternity leave coverage. A comprehensive health / dental plan, OMERS pension, disability insurance, and vacation are included.
The Child Welfare Worker (Protection Stream) is responsible for the provision of a broad range of child welfare services including intake, assessment, and clinical intervention with children and their families. They are required to conduct investigations, provide emergency services, make application to the court and ensure that the needs of the children living either in their own home or in care, are met. Child Welfare Workers are assigned to a specific service stream, but may be required to work in multiple or different service streams at any given time.
