Pre-Construction Manager

THE ROLE

• Oversee all aspects of a tender procurement opportunity to ensure a thorough and successful submission
• Support other preconstruction team members as required on their assigned procurement opportunities
• Manage entire Construction Management – Preconstruction processes for assigned projects
• Manage the preconstruction to construction transition for awarded or approved projects
• Attend Project Wrap-Up Meetings for projects previously assigned as Preconstruction Manager
• Build and maintain relationships with Clients, Consultants and Subcontractors

EXPERIENCE & SKILLS

The ideal candidate will bring…

• Degree, Diploma, Certificate or similar in Construction Management, Engineering, or program in related field
• 8+ years of experience in the ICI construction industry
• Background in preconstruction planning, estimating, quantity take-offs
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and relationship building skills
• Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities
• Eligibility to work in Canada and a valid driver’s license

• Take ownership of the preconstruction process, from tender through construction handover
• Be detail-oriented and analytical, with strong take-off, pricing, and risk assessment skills
• Think ahead to identify constructability issues, scope gaps, and risks early
• Communicate clearly and professionally with clients, consultants, and trade partners
• Stay organized and composed while managing multiple pursuits and deadlines
